Work has simmered down now and have entered back into a nice flow state of building and shipping at speed, whilst remaining learning as part of a few new projects. Trying to spend more time with friends and family at the moment, which was successful over the past week, as I listened to Hans Zimmer by candlelight with my family, and met up with a few mates I don't see as much as I’d like to.
Work
- Well-balanced week with things appearing to return back to normal after some chaotic months. A good mixture of strategic direction and stakeholder management, along with re-learning some form stuff through building.
Time in meetings: 19.6hr
- Forms & Salesforce: Took a refresh of forms in HTML, to brush up on a project recently commenced at work. We’re in the process of evaluating and migrating to an alternative form solution, of which salesforce experience cloud lightning web components is currently in evaluation. Exploring the flow building solutions in the platforms, coupled with building multi-step accessible forms.
- Our View Thought Leadership: Rarely get the chance nowadays to get my hands dirty, therefore jumped at the opportunity to bring to life a new thought leader/ opinion piece experience ‘Our View’. The experience and content is a gateway into positioning the RSPCA more as experts in the animal welfare space. Launched this week.
- Subdomain migration: We are currently in the process of migrating a third party site for our science teams. Have had to take the SHs on a journey to buy them in to the new solution. This wednesday we sat down with them in a long half day session to run through the solution and the rationale behind it. Green light received!
- Confidential projects: Received briefings for a couple of confidential projects for the ops and campaigning teams this week, and provided initial responses.
